Jewish Observance in Jackson Hole

During the summer months, Shabbat is held "In The Park." These outdoor observances are a joy for our community and visitors.
The Jewish community of Jackson Hole has monthly Shabbat Services, generally on the Third Friday, 6:30 p.m. at the of St. John’s Episcopal Church Chapel. Chaverim activities include High Holiday services, major holiday celebrations, weekly religious school and summer day camp, and Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation, and Torah Study.
In support of these services, the Jackson Hole Jewish Community employs Rabbis on a part time basis. They live elsewhere, but travel to Jackson for regularly scheduled services, the costs are covered by membership dues and other contributions. Rabbis are also available for weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, funerals, and other lifecycle events on an as-needed basis. While the Jackson Hole Jewish Community may subsidize the cost of some of these services for its membership in appropriate circumstances, the principle responsibility for these costs lies with the families involved.
